“Just finished this book, and immediately cracked it open to reread. Nourish is truly one of a kind. I’ve read so many books on developing a healthy relationship with food and eating, and none of them were written as eloquently as this one. Very insightful and inspiring.”

“I adored every word of this book. Heidi shows you the way out of food drama and endless confusion about what to eat and guides you to confidently take control of your own health. She teaches the practices of intuitive eating and mindfulness around food in an extremely understandable, relatable way. I would suggest this book (really over any others) to anyone on the journey to healing their relationship with food. And the truth is, this book does far more than just address your relationship with food; it also goes deep into your relationship with self and your level of fulfillment and joy in life. I can't say enough good things about this deep and purposeful work of art. Job well done, Heidi. I hope word about this book continues to grow and it gets into the hands of as many people as possible.”

“This is not a theoretical expose on eating disorders: there are plenty of those. This is a true story, personal as well as universal: it taps into our relationship with food and our bodies, our embodied life, our mental hygiene, our connection to movement and joy and the choices we make. And it is all related, because it is. Heidi has developed a step by step approach, filled with the latest research, her vast experience with her clients, her personal history, her insights as someone who has thought deeply and practiced diligently for many, many years. This book will keep you company for a long time if you choose to let it guide you into finding out who you really are in relationship with your precious body and the food that nourishes you and all of us. There is nothing quite like this out there. A smooth read, sprinkled with humor, packed with wisdom. Thank you Heidi!”

"I read this book in a day because I couldn't put it down. Although I have never had an eating disorder I think most people have had some issue with food and their bodies. I'm often surrounded by my co-workers that have given up this food, or on that diet or now taking some type of supplement to speed up the process of losing weight. This book did a great job of reframing my thinking around how judgmental we can be about ourselves and the negative thoughts that go through our head. She didn't force a program or a way of eating on you but made you stop to question things that go beyond eating. I will be reading this again to take even more in and sharing with friends. The title is Nourish but it goes way beyond how to nourish yourself with food but really how to feed your soul and move beyond that negative talk to be okay with who you are."

“Nourish cracked me wide open and let light into my life. I was a client of Heidi's for quite some time. She helped me love myself, feel more comfortable eating, and make peace with all my rough edges. My work with her was transformative. She is truly a gift. After I stopped seeing her I wandered off the path a bit. This book was an amazing course correction. I read it incredibly slowly and savored it. I recommend that you savor it as well. Read it in an order that makes sense to you, read it slowly, gobble it up quickly, do what you need and what you want. Whatever you do, read it. Read it, read it, read it. You won't regret it.”

"This book is such a blessing. My daughter has anorexia and Heidi Schauster hit the spot with this. In Nourish, the focus is on relationships with food rather than dieting. This focus works for everyone. Both overeaters and undereaters will find this book useful. Nourish is sure to help with a host of eating problems."
Kathi Procopio, Parent
“Nourish is like a breath of fresh air. Heidi recognizes that living in a culture that praises dieting and the pursuit of thinness makes it difficult to listen to our bodies and honor them. Through a compassionate and graceful approach, Heidi outlines practical steps that we can take to trust our intuition and truly nourish our bodies from the inside out. I highly recommend this book to anyone looking to heal their relationship with food and create healthy habits that will last a lifetime.”
