What Are Groups?

For the last dozen years, I have enjoyed facilitating — currently only virtually — the No Diet Book Clubs, small therapeutic groups reading books (including my own books) together about improving relationships with food, body, and self.  These groups become recovery support communities and inspiring places of healing that I feel so honored to facilitate.

Why Groups?

It can be hard to embrace a more mindful, intuitive, non-prescriptive way of eating. Even those of us who have left disordered eating and fad diets behind need support around trusting our bodies' wisdom, eating well, and accepting our whole selves. I incorporate principles of Somatic Experiencing (SE) into the sessions. Groups are often a more affordable option than individual work; however, group work is not a substitute for individual psychotherapy and nutrition counseling.
